Federal Trade Commission – Blogging has Arrived!

November 14, 2006

There has been a lot of buzz about blogging – it has caught on in many businesses.  Not until now did the Federal Government move into blogging!  The Federal Trade Commission has stepped up and started a blog. FTC is using technology to talk about technology.  Just the nature of a blog requires openness; this is not necessarily easy in a federal agency.  They managed to do it.   The editor is an internal representative not a spokesperson for the agency.  They cover a variety of topics and allow comments.  This is a forum for FTC to discuss how technology is affecting the way we carry out everyday activities like shopping, banking, and communicating.

Does you business or agency have a blog in place? If you do not, now might be a good time to get on-board with a great way to communicate with customers/consumers.  Visit the FTC blog, “Protecting Consumers in The Next Tech-ade” at http://ftcchat.us/blog/  and see how they are using blogging.

Have a Question – Get an Answer

November 5, 2006

We wanted to provide for our visitors a forum to ask questions and get answers.  That is one of the benefits of Xplor.  The members have many years of knowledge and experience covering many subjects.  Provide a comment to this posting with any question you may have and see the responses in no time at all.  I have included “Search” for our blog to easily check for subjects of interest to you. From this area, we will also gather subjects that are of interest to you and create postings of that topic in “industry news”.
